Thunder roared and lightning flashed most of the night. It rained a lot too but the tents kept it out. We stopped off at Walmart for the Homer Simpson breakfast of 5 or 6 doughnuts each. The whole cycle to Cleveland was flat through strip malls. It was easy enough on the body but tough to concentrate so much on safety for that many hours. I should have appreciated the massive New York hills more. Tonight we're staying with a Brazilian couple that we met through couchsurfing; Neimar and Lais. They've been great fun to hang around with and they cooked us dinner. You couldn't ask for nicer hosts for a first time couchsurfing.
